Disadvantages

Ø  Plywood is more expensive than MDF and the higher the grade the higher the price

Ø  Since plywood shows layers on the surface, it has to be finished well with timber or decorative mouldings

Ø  It is difficult to create designs using plywood, since it is difficult to get perfectly smooth cuts on it

Ø  Plywood splinters easily and the edges that have layers may have voids when not cut properly

Ø  Plywood cannot be exposed to wet or moisture weather for a long period of time

Ø  The surface of plywood if not painted well can be peeled off

Ø  Without some special resistance method maximum after long-term get attacked by insects
